Ximen Ding shopping area in Taipei area is one of the most popular locations for young people to go shopping. As you can see from this photo, the buildings are brightly colored. In the background you can see a 7 eleven sign. There are over 3000 7 Elevens throughout the island of Taiwan. There are also OK, Family Marts, and many other convenient stores in Taiwan. It seems as if there is a convenient store on every block. Taiwanese many times give directions by the location of the "7"s, their name for 7 Elevens.

I've seen people carry a full size door put across the well of the scooter. I watched a man try to figure out how to carry a large bookcase on his scooter.
